Reproductive Justice – SERIES (Religious Institute)

A framework created by women of color, reproductive justice is defined as the right to have children, to not have children, and to create families in safe and sustainable communities. Even before the 2016 election, this country was far from embodying the vision of reproductive justice. As people of faith band together and draw from our deep wells of spiritual resources, now more than ever our faith communities need to understand, embrace, and embody the wisdom of reproductive justice. This multifaith webinar series, held throughout the month of June, will provide faith communities with practical and theological resources for engaging in religious resistance related to reproductive justice. Each webinar features a guest panelist and focuses on one way faith communities can engage the reproductive justice framework, through religious education, liturgy , pastoral care, and studying sacred texts.
