Ministers of Music and Music Directors are responsible for the music program of the church. Their duties include planning worship services with a focus on music selection, leading choirs and worship teams. They work closely with other pastoral staff in planning of worship services, church events or concerts. They select and supervise the activities of associate music ministers/pastors/directors, choir directors, worship leaders, organists, pianists, and other musicians. They recruit choir members, soloists and musicians for regular or special choirs and other musical programs. They may direct one or more choirs and/or play the organ or piano at worship services.
